EVENT GUIDELINES

Members of the Hong Kong Seniors Golf Society will be emailed event invitations 20 days before an event to sign up. A reminder email will be sent to all members not signed up to an event 3 days before the sign up closes. Tee Sheets will be published on the website approx. 7 days before the event and emailed to member participants. In the unfortunate circumstance where an event has been cancelled for reasons beyond our control such as the course being closed, participants will be notified.

Signing Up

  • Members are required to manage and sign up to events online and may invite up to 3 guests per event (1 flight including the member) . On successfully signing up to an event, a confirmation email will be sent and your sign up will be displayed on the website.

Guests

  • A Hong Kong resident may only play three times as a guest, after which time if eligible must apply for membership to the Society to partake in any further Society events. There is no limit for overseas guests subject to committee approval. HKSGS members will have priority in applying to play in our events and guests will only be included if there are vacancies in the starter sheet after all interested HKSGS members have been included.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations to events are to be managed online by the member up until the sign up close date. Any cancellations after the sign up is closed will incur a HK$200 cancellation fee or the full event fee dependent on venue. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will be subject to the full fee.

Payment

  • Payments are to be made within 3 days of the Tee Sheet being published, email a copy of your payment advice to payments@hksgs.com.hk before the deadline. The committee reserves the right to reject any entry without giving a reason. Payment information is available in your Tee Sheet email confirmation for the event.

Scorecards

  • Members submitted scorecards will be processed by the Event Manager and submitted to the HKGA on your behalf. Scorecards are to be exchanged on the first tee and must be countersigned and clearly marked with the number of strokes taken on each hole. Scorecards are to be handed in within 15 minutes of completing your round.

Handicaps

  • A handicap from any Golf Association using the GHIN system with a maximum handicap index of 36.4 for Men and 40.4 for Women for all events.

On The Day

  • Players are requested to arrive at the first tee atleast 15 minutes before their tee time to register with the Event Manager, settle any outstanding payments and collect their scorecards.

Matches

  • Any HKSGS Member holding an up to date handicap with the HKGA or other Golf Association using the GHIN system is eligible to compete in HKSGS Matches against other organisations. Maximum handicap limits may apply for some events. Match players are expected to stay for post-match Prize Presentations. For further details contact HKSGS matches convenor on matches@hksgs.com.hk.

Prizes

  • In order to be eligible for a prize, you must submit your scorecard. To be eligible for Nett Prizes an up to date handicap with the HKGA or other Golf Association using the GHIN system is required. When available, prizes are to be collected on the day of the event once all scorecards have been processed, you may nominate another member to receive your prize on your behalf.
